Schema Analysis and Conformance

The Schema Matching and Compliance solution focuses upon providing an environment for modelling and representation of different systems and then analysing the respective schemas through matching. The generated results, rules applied in the process and reference sources can all be held within the system for re-use as well as auditing. The results can also be exported for use in external applications or as part of a more expansive process.

Standards Orientation

In specific industries such as Telecommunications the schema matching can be performed between the industry standard and candidate client systems to generate a measure of compliance of the client systems to the standard. This approach has been applied to support the New Generation Operations Systems and Services (NGOSS) programme from the TeleManagement Forum. Metabula has focused upon the representation and management of the NGOSS frameworks, and in particular the Shared Information and Data (SID) Model and Enhanced Telecom Operations Map® (eTOM). These capabilities have been brought together in the NGOSS Conformance Analysis solution; a system that facilitates generating a measure of conformance between an OSS system and the eTOM/SID frameworks. This is achieved through the use of different modelling, mapping, and matching approaches.
