Metabula in Telecoms

Metabula has specific competences in standard and complex industry-specific modelling and mapping techniques. Such techniques are now required to support the New Generation Operations Systems and Services (NGOSS) programme from the TeleManagement Forum.

Metabula has focused upon the representation and management of the NGOSS frameworks, and in particular the Shared Information and Data (SID) Model and Enhanced Telecom Operations Map®(eTOM). It also supports comparing the SID with client specific information models, known as Shared Information Specifications (SIS).

Metabula’s capabilities have been brought together in its NGOSS Conformance Analysis solution. A system that facilitates generating a measure of conformance between an OSS system and the eTOM/SID frameworks. This is achieved through the use of different modelling and mapping approaches. The whole process is electronically documented and the resulting information models, held within the Metabula system, can be used to present OSS information according to the frameworks & would also be available for use in other tool.
